How to cancel your subscription and what happens when you do

This policy explains how to cancel your Partneuro subscription and what happens when you do.

1. How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time through:

  • Account Settings: Go to Settings > Subscription > Cancel Subscription
  • Email Request: Contact us at [email protected]
  • Customer Support: Use our help center or chat support

No phone calls or complicated processes required - we make it easy to cancel.

2. When Cancellation Takes Effect

  • Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You'll continue to have full access until that date
  • No refunds are provided for the remaining time in your current billing cycle
  • After the billing period ends, you won't be charged again

Example: If you cancel on January 15th and your billing date is January 25th, you'll have access until January 25th and won't be charged on January 25th.

3. What Happens After Cancellation

Immediate Effects (at end of billing period)

  • Your subscription benefits end
  • You lose access to premium features
  • You may lose access to certain AI companions or features
  • Your account remains active but with free tier limitations (if applicable)

Your Data

  • Your account and conversation history are preserved for 90 days
  • You can reactivate your subscription during this period
  • After 90 days, your data may be permanently deleted
  • You can request immediate data deletion by contacting support

4. Reactivation

Want to come back? No problem!

  • Reactivate anytime through your account settings
  • Your previous conversations and settings may be restored (if within retention period)
  • New subscription starts immediately upon reactivation
  • Standard pricing applies unless you have a promotional offer

5. Free Trials

If you're on a free trial:

  • Cancel anytime during the trial period
  • You won't be charged if you cancel before the trial ends
  • Trial access ends immediately upon cancellation
  • You must cancel at least 24 hours before trial ends to avoid charges

6. Refund Policy

Standard Policy

  • Subscriptions are generally non-refundable
  • No partial refunds for unused time in the current billing period
  • You maintain access through the end of your paid period

Exceptions

We may provide refunds in cases of:

  • Technical issues that prevent you from using the service
  • Unauthorized charges or billing errors
  • Discretionary refunds approved by our support team on a case-by-case basis

7. Billing Cycles

Monthly Subscriptions

  • Billed every month on the same date
  • Cancel anytime; no charges after current period ends
  • Changes take effect at the next billing cycle

Annual Subscriptions

  • Billed once per year
  • Cancel anytime; access continues until year end
  • No refunds for remaining months (except in special circumstances)

8. Account Deletion vs. Cancellation

Cancellation:

  • Ends your subscription
  • Keeps your account active (with free tier access if available)
  • Preserves your data for potential reactivation

Account Deletion:

  • Permanently removes your account
  • Deletes all your data
  • Cannot be undone
  • Available through Settings > Account > Delete Account

9. Involuntary Cancellation

We may cancel your subscription if:

  • Payment method fails repeatedly
  • Account violates our Terms of Service
  • Account shows fraudulent activity
  • Required by law

You'll receive notice before involuntary cancellation when possible.

10. Special Circumstances

Promotional Subscriptions

  • Cancellation terms may vary for promotional offers
  • Check the specific terms of your promotion
  • After promotional period ends, standard pricing and terms apply

Gift Subscriptions

  • Cannot be refunded once activated
  • Recipient can cancel future billing if auto-renewal is enabled

Business/Enterprise Plans

  • May have different cancellation terms
  • Refer to your service agreement or contact your account manager

11. Payment Method Changes

  • Updating your payment method does NOT cancel your subscription
  • To cancel, you must explicitly use the cancellation process
  • Even with expired payment methods, you must cancel to avoid billing attempts
